COMAI - viet street kitchen in Frankfurt

Udon Tom Sot Ca - Sautéed Prawn Udon - unfortunately to me this very disappointing. In my opinion this dish looks and tastes like tomatoe sause noodles out of a can. Not much else to say. 4-5 sad prawns in with red onion slices. Won’t recommend. On the other hand, their beef tamarind is really tasty !! Reacting to the answer from Comai: my review is public, because that is how customers and Comai can think about their choices. After Comai’s comment, I had a look at other reviews and (to no surprise) found other people review Udon Tom Sot Ca in the exact way I did (tasteless tomatoes noodles out of a can). Now the question to Comai is why have they not improved the dish having received multiple negative reviews?

Great food - the dishes are very fresh and taste great. The ambience is traditionally stylish. The staff are nice and pretty quick, both when you want to order and when delivering the food. Clear recommendation

I've been here several times and not always totally enthusiastic. But sometimes there was a direct hit on the daily menu. So last time. Udon in green curry. Good heat, very tasty !! It would be great if in the German winter no buns, i.e. no only lukewarm dishes, were offered as a veggie choice on the menu of the day. Then I'm guaranteed to come more often!

Delicious Vietnamese food that is prepared very quickly. My favorite is Bun Cha Gio (spring rolls on rice noodle salad)

Super super delicious! Discovered a few weeks ago on Instagram and tried it out! Even in this day and age of eating, delivery and collection are absolutely reliable and more than delicious?? Authentic, super delicious, Vietnamese cuisine!

Ingredients mixed together without sense or understanding, the dish is a single mush, no cooking points hit. Unsatisfactory. Wasted money.

Delicious food, nice atmosphere, we are regular customers. What is not possible, therefore only 2 stars, are the wait staff. Super unmotivated, unfriendly and harsh in tone. Complained for the second time because I'm tired of being treated so rude. There is more to a restaurant visit than just good food, but the entire experience. And I have to say there is still room for improvement at Comai!

Edit: After a new order was really delicious and we were served very friendly when we picked it up, +1 star again with great pleasure. Unfortunately the taste has decreased. No customer-friendly solution was offered for an error by the restaurant with an order. We hope it was just a slip-up and next time the quality is right again. Unfortunately, there was only an answer as a reaction to the rating here, even though you had read it directly.

The food is incredibly delicious, the service very friendly and attentive. The quality of the food and drinks was very good and all this in an extremely pleasant atmosphere. Tried for the first time today and definitely not the last time.

We ate very well there a couple of times! Our dishes were served very nicely and tasted great! One star deduction, as the service could be much more attentive. Prices are reasonable.

Very rude service, kept asking for more orders even when we arrived 25mins ago. They made us very uncomfortable so we just paid and left.

Super tasty and fair prices. But you should make a reservation as it is very busy - at least on Friday evenings. ??

Have been there twice now and each had different dishes consisting of starters and main prices. I can't say anything about the sweet dishes as we didn't try them. As a starter we can recommend the spring rolls as well as the summer rolls, although the spring rolls taste more of the standard, which is not necessarily a bad thing. The summer rolls and the peanut sauce served with them are very tasty. The main courses taste fresh and tasty overall! The service is friendly and quick! If there's not much going on, you can be completely finished within 30 minutes with a drink, starter and main course. But even if the COMAI is well attended, you don't have to wait very long for your meal.

Unfortunately only 2 stars because the service was alone and overwhelmed (not her fault if she has to do everything by herself). Our order comb faulty, so one dish was made new, the other was of course already at the table for 20 minutes because we wanted to eat together, we didn't get cutlery either. But since we had to wait too long, we paid for our drinks and left. Thank you but no thanks

The tastiest Vietnamese I know. This is my absolute favorite restaurant. Everyone I bring here falls in love with the food. Try to love you guys ... I've tried a lot of Vietnamese food, but this is where it really takes off. Every time I have so many flavors in my mouth that my head is overwhelmed. Nice personel. Try the banana cake, which is brought warm with sauce. The interior is beautiful, of course, with lots of pictures and plants

Several people recommended the place to me but I couldnt share enthusiasm about it. The food has too much of sauce - so that I couldnt feel the real taste of the food. Homemade lemonade was also too sweet, but I understand that this is a matter of personal taste. Service was also not nice - when I asked what meals they have with rice (my german is not so good and seeing the menu for the first time I couldnt orient myself quickly) - I was asked to check the menu. After that the waitress immediately left and I couldnt catch anyone again to ask about their rice meals and to order for about 10 min.

Delicious!! Great variety of food and drinks. Something for every palate. Great varying day menu and super friendly, fast service. The portions were big enough and the food was fresh and very tasty. Really recommended and we look forward to the next time.

very authentic Vietnamese dishes that I have eaten in Germany so far. the pho soup was incredibly deep. only recommended!

Good service, fresh ingredients and perfectly balanced. But the place was pretty chaotic, we had a fun time nonetheless.

First dinning experience after covid lockdown, so perhaps it was just the idea of being able to dine out again, that said, the food is good and the location is great.

Small menu but amazing food. Pretty decent selection of vegan options. Atleast the menu says all the dishes can also be prepared using tofu. The interior is also nicely decorated. The prices are very reasonable. Must try for a Vietnamese foodie

Relaxing, kind of cozy little viet restaurant stylishly decorated with a warm welcome and efficient service. Quality of appetizers and main courses was very good. Typical viet spicyness. Price performance ?. Unfortunately no draft beer. Viet bottled was a good compromise. Will come back in summer to enjoy outdoor service.

The service in your store was very bad. When the staff brought our foods,she was very surly. After our check,she didn’t say “Thank you”. She never said that. Usually say “Thank you”for customers.

Been going here on a regular basis since almost a year now. Bo Sot me never disappoints.

Really wonderful Vietnamese street food snacks. It's a good place to go and have some lunch, or perhaps even dinner at. The summer rolls were fresh and decent, the main dishes including the salads are well presented. They offer Vietnamese coffee too, so if you're into that certainly give it a go. Pretty nice outdoor seating in summer, though Berger Straße can be kinda busy.

The food was really good and and some of them you don't see in other viet restaurants. The amount of food was filling and for my dish a got quite a food amount of meat. Still, I only give them 4 stars, because it's a bit more on the pricier side and the there weren't as many dishes too choose from too be honest. But that's personal preference. (and also all of the service staff weren't Asian and that is kind of weird because we couldn't understand them when they tried to say the viet dish names, but there were viet cooks in the kitchen)

Delicious Vietnamese food, perfect during the spring and summer months where you can sit outside. Has a short but interesting menu with the classics like pho, Vietnamese noodle soup, or curries and fried food. The changing specials menu always has some gems like udon in spicy tomato sauce or fresh salad on it. Prices are quite fair given the location.

Open not later than 10,30. The workers there pushed us to leave the place.

Delicious ASIAN cuisine.

I came here to use a coupon and got a great dish with noodles and awesome fried chicken on top. One of the best fried chicken dishes i had... Prices are normal , dishes are around 10euro and drinks around 3-5euro. I'd come back if I'm around and want vietnamese food. Nice interior and friendly staff.
